my feelings on vivziepop aside: i truly do not think that this gets past a pilot. maybe one season.

also i think homestuck being adapted into anything just doesnt work. it takes full advantage of being multimedia and i can only imagine so much will be lost

It had already sort of become a landmine topic when this whole Hussie situation started, but i was hoping once that situation died down i'd be back in the clear. BUT I GUESS THIS LANDMINE WILL NEVER GET FUCKING DEFUSED. Now let me get this straight, I'm not mad at anyone involved in the situation, because I like Homestuck, and I also Really like Hazbin and Helluva, but it just fucking sucks to have another thing i like be embroiled in so much drama.

don't get me wrong i am fully in disbelief at the possibility of an adaptation of homestuck being an even somewhat suitable replacement for the comic but this is genuinely one of the most insane moments of my life and i'm crying and i feel REALLY silly but oh my god it's literally the thing it's happening lmfao it's happening wtf

It’s cool how the style of the animation feels like the way the covers were drawn for the book versions of the comic! The smoothness of it also makes me think of that mysterious early iteration of the first page of Homestuck.

Of what is seen here, I imagine it’s going to be way more action oriented and fast paced, it makes me so curious how they’d go about prioritizing certain things about the story should this be picked up.

Also love that Dad Egbert is going WAY FUCKING HARDER in strife than he did in the comic LOL also I like that Dave manifested physically from the pesterchum that’s a fun idea. Considering all early dialogue is via texting I hope more stuff is expressed that way. Also the one second of Jade Harley.. I miss her every day.

It’s also nice to see Toby Fox doing stuff for Homestuck again though I never thought it’d be voice acting, Toby is text-to-speech in my brain!

I really look forward to seeing the whole thing of it YAY❤️

If this situation makes me have to get into a fucked up hybrid of both Vivziepop and Hussie discourse in any discord server I'm in, we might suddenly have an actually fitting version of american psycho 2.

I really enjoy how we're back to Toby "Radiation" Fox. He hasn't forgotten Homestuck!!
