I feel like I'm relatively new compared to a lot of the fans I see, I'm just about approaching my 2nd year anniversary of starting homestuck for my girlfriend's birthday. I was meaning to read it anyways because Undertale is my favourite game of all time and it wouldn't exist without homestuck, so I thought it'd be a good idea to read it so I could understand utdr better ad I fell in love. I'd love to hear when other people read it and what first prompted them whether it was a friend or something else. •<|:o).

i first tried to read homestuck in 2012 at age 8 on my ipod touch :) i could not watch the flashes. i also don't think i knew what a pesterlog was. i was scolded and then told i would be allowed to read it when i was 13; this ended up being after it ended. i think i made a few attempts between that though and definitely at least got a couple thousand pages in.
Tryin to make a change :-/
i started reading like a year ago and finished around december 2024
homestuck has genuinely changed my entire personality i love it so much ;-;

My notes say December of 2015 I was already 2000 pages in. Time freaking flies... I hadn't realized it wasn't done yet so when I hit the then current end I was *distraught*.
I got really into reading fan fics while I waited, and started realizing I wanted to make something on my own.
It was a wild time. Really inspiring.
Zampanio is a really fun game, you should play it :) :) :)
when i was in middle school in 2015, two girls who were in the same class as me showed me it
i read up until the beginning of act 6 and didnt actually do a full readthru until 2021
i kinda wanna read through it again... and then get through all of the other stuff thats been made, maybe even catch up with homestuck 2...

First read it in 2020 but I knew about it for YEAARS. My sister was so into it during its Peak. So I had like.. Some vague knowledge of it beforehand
i first "read it" (aka looked at the pictures) in 2013! intermittently reread parts of it, then really properly reread it a few times in 2017/2020/2023 and onwards.
i enjoy saying hi! please say hi, too, if you'd like.
i read homestuck fully for the first time in april 2023! but i've known about homestuck since i'd say 2017? at the latest, 2018. i tried to read it a couple times back then but i had friends who discouraged me due to their own experiences in the fandom while it was ongoing. i am kinda thankful, as i was rather young at the time and i think reading it at 16 was a great age to read it. it really surprises me though how many people read it so late but didnt know about it until later! it seems like such an important piece of internet culture that i genuinely was under the assumption that everybody on the internet who ever engaged in fandom spaces atleast heard of it.
