So after Gio released his articles, I made a post briefly going into my experience interacting with him and how I personally felt he was asking me a leading question that I included a screenshot of here: https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/reply/68964d40eb0e1f3bcab321ae
Since posting this, I've seen quite a few people sharing it around and discussing it. I realized after the fact that if people might find it useful or informative, there's really no reason not to just share my full and complete conversation with Gio before he posted his article.
My honest opinion of the interaction below is that it was generally just very uncomfortable. Even after explicitly stating that I was not comfortable continuing the conversation, he continued pressing me and tried to lock me into answers based on his own conjecture if I continued to not respond. I'm not a journalist and I don't know if this is like considered acceptable and standard journalistic practice, but it made me feel trapped in a conversation I made very clear I was no longer comfortable having.

It sure is weird that whenever something good happens in the HS fandom this gio guy is always so intent on making a callout post. Hiveswap act 2 is about to be released? overshadowed by gio. Pilot trailer about to come out? Overshadowed by Gio. Just as hussie and company were repairing their reputations, look! It's Gio. Here with another document. Backed up by Makin, Sarah (who, of course, reposted all this on her bluesky), and the mods of the HSD and r/Homestuck. Once again, it's fashionable to preempt every positive comment about Homestuck with "fuck Hussie". Once again, our savior Gio, who has had both "killed homestuck" and "saved homestuck" in their bio, is here to tell the fandom what to think, how to feel, and has once again shaped the narrative and dampened the excitement. He'll be back again, next time something good happens, and the staff of Homestuck will face yet another torrent of abuse. I've already said this before, but I hope the new fans will come and breathe life and positivity into the fandom. Drown out the noise. This is a good comic. I wish people were willing to talk about that.

In my very personal opinion I lowkey kind of think Gio was just projecting with the whole "there is a shadowy kabal of people who want me to fail and they're all under this one guy's thumb" thing. Lol.
@elegantSpinstress, I can't possibly agree or disagree. I loathe speculation.

It's like Homestuck but during Antebellum slavery.
images are not working for me, is there a transcript or another way to see the images?
Wait, correct me if I'm wrong, but... @bluebootyraider in this case I don't see how Gio could have planned this to be related to the pilot trailer at all? Like, the timing seems to be some darkly comedic coincidence. because I don't see how Gio could have known about the planned announcement, and I don't see how the Homestuck team could have known about his planned post?
My PFP isn't Vriska, though I may have stolen her aesthetics.
I can say that at least on the trailer side of things the convention panel where it was announced was planned to be on 8/9 months in advance. I also highly doubt Gio knew about the announcement and was instead probably just aiming for funny Vriska day.
RE: Cubecrow
Not sure what's up there, they're working fine on my end and I'm hosting them over Filegarden. Is anyone else having this issue?
@skitis
it's more likely both events (gio's post and the pilot teaser) were planned with reference to the FRAF forums. with the blatant bad faith gio demonstrated i cannot find it in myself to assume it was just a coincidence he dropped his post a week after fraf was revealed. and as for the pilot, it makes sense that they wanted to time the release of the trailer shortly after revealing a brand new forum to discuss it on.
@cami & @cubecrow -
Oh dear, so FileGarden is currently a bit of a mess right now as Grant is re-writing it from the ground up and is only barely managing to keep the old code working in the time he has. This means two things:
1. Filegarden crashes every now and then, and needs to be restarted.
2. Some internet providers have blocked filegarden and Grant hasn't got time to chase them down right now.
If it's the first, it should be working now. If it's the second, then visiting http://file.garden/ would error out in some way.
@lizardanya - Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if everyone was trying to aim for Vriska Day unaware of the plans of others, though that is speculation.
