Wanting to compare someone at most being an awful fucking company leader to the damn holocaust feels.. inflammatory to say the least.

I will say, "I forgot ten thousand people would skim this" feels kind of disingenuous. It feels like he was relying on that fact.

i will fully admit ive only read the first few sections of the article, but already it seems really needlessly aggressive towards hussie? gio claims to not to want to stir drama, but then uses a frog and scorpion metaphor, for one

im willing to believe hussie isnt good at, like, being a project manager or anything. it requires a very specific skillset, and not every person who makes a popular piece of media is going to have it. but gio seems like an incredibly, incredibly biased source.

also wait i missed the fact he used a holocaust metaphor. that is, respectfully, not something EVER done in good faith

Re;akizetesche, In addition to that, Gio already went into the partnership expecting awful shit from Hussie. It really seemed like he deliberately tried to confirm his bias.
If I hadn’t already had it impressed on me that Andrew was a bad-faith actor I needed to be vigilant around, it’d probably have worked on me too.

How Hussie treats others is how he will be treated. You guys tend to forget the various amounts of lawsuits and project dramas (that are very well documented) he has been involved in, lol!

I'd also like to mention that, in his footnote for the retraction of the Gio-ish Question thing, he seems to think the issue is that he included a dogwhistle that people would just skim past and misinterpret -- missing his "subtle joke".

As if interpreting it properly, as comparing himself to Holocaust victims and Hussie et al. to Nazis, would've made it better somehow?

While I have been staying silent on my opinion until I get an official statement from the other side, Gio attempting to compare himself to a victim of genocide and painting Hussie to be a Nazi is terrible. How did he even come up with a "pun" like that?

Reading a few of the comments, and I have to admit a good point's being made. There's no intrinsic reason to distrust the narrative of gio as a thankless bastion of homestuck and the community, whereas hussie is a cartoon supervillain.

if we consider way way back when it was igpd's word against gio's re: the odd gentlemen three camps kind of stood out. one each that fully took whoever they agreed with at their word, and the camp of "well both people seem pretty angry but if we look at the similarities it was just a poorly organized over-ambitious project fraught with confusion and frustration on all sides." and i'm in that latter camp. both people were, in their minds, telling the truth but embellished things out of emotion as people tend to do and the truth of the matter is likely somewhere in-between but we will probably never truly know. Which is why in this instance it would be smart to wait for more information to cross-reference and synthesize what probably took place.

like yeah hussie has a track record of being a poor project manager, however given How Many projects theyve done and that people still continue to work with them or continue to be on friendly terms even after said work is completed I am very reluctant to believe that hussie is aggressive and manipulative to the point of being an evil mastermind.
