I'd also like to mention that, in his footnote for the retraction of the Gio-ish Question thing, he seems to think the issue is that he included a dogwhistle that people would just skim past and misinterpret -- missing his "subtle joke".

As if interpreting it properly, as comparing himself to Holocaust victims and Hussie et al. to Nazis, would've made it better somehow?
