How did you get your username?

Speaking of usernames, yours rings a bell. Do I know you from somewhere??

Anyways, the meaning of "MP" is top secret and Lily is the name I used to go by. I've used this name for nearly a decade 'cause it fits several particular criteria:

- catchy, memorable, rolls off the tongue well

- completely one of a kind

- non-indicative, not tied to any particular interest or trait of mine

(as in: not fandom-related, not hobby related like "superstartist" or related to a personality trait like, well, chimericallyCreative)

The thing is, I hardly recognize Lily as my name anymore. My name's Charlie, and I haven't gone by Lily in years, but I'm far too attached to MP-Lily as a handle to consider changing it and, more importantly, I cannot think of ANYTHING else that fits the criterion. And it used to be I'd tell people "call me Lily, not MP" but now it's the other way around. I don't mind being called MP, though.

Theos means god and "techne" is a philosophical concept that has to do with the application of practical knowledge and has various definitions under philosophers like Plato and Socrates

i’ve started to like having a new username! “gloamfound” as like… ok well!!! i made that word up, but i didn’t make up “GLOAM” because that’s a time of day! and adding found just means you’d find something during gloam… that something would be ME or a GOLIARD! a goliard is uhm… well, wiki defines it as:

i usually use kerokerosene to allude to both the cartoon frog and the hydrocarbon liquid. but in cases where homestuck is the topic, i use this. it's been inspired by the depressingly descent of a book, no longer human. sigh.

rng is shorthand for the username I used since I was around 8 or 9. It was long and stupid, and eventually I just shortened it to rng. thing is, rng is a very generic "gamer" name (since you know, random number generator, which is apparently a video game thing even though it's generally a computer programming thing and has fucking nothing at its base to do with games). At the beginning of college, I came up with the name malrab (first 3 letters of my name, first 3 letters of my original username), which I liked because idk it just feels like it fit me more. but i'd still been using rng for my music, so I decided to combine to two to look like a full name (Rng Malrab). It's silly and stupid but it's me and I love it.

(On some places, I also go by M. or MFullstop, which was an impulsive decision that I ended up also liking. That's why my nickname here is M. (alrab).)

A shipname for jadenep that wasnt their names mashed together lol

I came up with the username for a scrapped webcomic I was gonna make before what eventually became my first MSPFA entry. It was meant to be for the main protagonist who is my sona but eventually I scrapped the comic because it was too ambitious for its own good. I liked the username so much I ended up adapting it as my main and it has stuck ever since.

lavenderSiren is a slightly more fancy, less potentially suggestive version of my old username, shinyJiggly. I switched a decade ago because I kept getting solicitations on Pesterchum from randos who couldn't get their heads out of the gutter and it was annoying.

shinyJiggly is short for shiny jigglypuff. I chose it because shiny jigglypuff was too long for most websites when I finally turned 13.

I had went with shiny jigglypuff because jigglypuff is cute and I had admired someone from a different pokemon forum called "bluumyuu" for being so helpful to everyone and wanted to be like that.

a fun bonus about lavenderSiren in particular is that it has added sapphic overtones to it.

I am a personification of the Windows 98 OS, so I just replaced the "w" in "Windows" into "D", making it "dindows". I added 98 because why the hell not?

Normally, my username is artifactfractal everywhere. That doesnt follow the usual Pesterchum/Trollian formula though, so I switched out artifact for artificial. it also makes more sense with my robot schtick. The OG username was just me slapping together two words that vaguely sounded similar.

SLYBOT is just because my actual name, Sly, was too short to use as a display. Slapped the bot suffix on it for that robotic biznasty goodness. Beep boop.
