Simple topic, a softball for ya.
I believe I found homestuck around 2018 after being in the Undertale fandom and hearing it was something else that Toby Fox worked on. I remember the RPG Monger video coming out around that time and I think that was what made me curious.
kinda just bit the bullet back in like 2022 after knowing about it for literal years and i ended up super enjoying and loving it!
i think i'd heard about it a few years prior when i was into undertale, but in 2019 a few weeks after the epilogues dropped i saw a LOT of talk about homestuck and decided it was time to finally read it. helped that i was in middle school and our chromebooks had a lot of websites blocked but homestuck was not one of them! i may spent a bit too much time reading instead of listening to my teachers lol
it's my first day at gay high school i hope they dont realize im straight
I discovered it when a video on Psycholonials popped up in my YT feed. I thought to read Homestuck before watching the vid in case of spoilers and ended up a massive fan.
The funny thing is that I unintentionally started reading it on April 13th 2024, the comic's 15th birthday. I guess it was destiny.
Experts hate this one "Revolution 9" opinion
Oh okay this is a fun story. Imagine if you will a forum with a built in irc chat. It was about tamagotchi. One day during a particularly important update folks in the irc who were early EARLY readers were talking about it in the chat. They recommended it to me but when I looked at it it reminded me of some other webcomic I tried to read and bounced off it hard (at this point I'm fairly certain it was some other MSPA series and I was just like too Young at that time I got easily upsetti spaghetti) they were like "aw thats a shame but okay." and that was that. For quite some time. Okay well like a year.
It is now 2011. Two of my irl friends get deeply into Homestuck and insist I need to read it and dont take "nah I already looked at it I'm pretty sure I won't like it" as an answer due to how to them I was like Literally Jade and it would be a crime if I did not experience this. This led to. Shenanigans. Which included reading homestuck Out Loud to me while hanging out at my place, and a bragging rights bet on how long I could hold out before curiosity sinks its claws into me and I read it myself. I won btw. And over summer break marathoned all that was out in a couple of days.
If you dig through my tumblr archives you can find a July 24th 2011 post of me complaining about eyestrain after reading for a consecutive 8 hours. The next thing about homestuck I specifically post myself, not reblog, is a collection of fantroll concepts on August 7th. Soon after came Hexani Selach and really the rest is history.
in like 2014 or so, one of my friends in elementary school showed it to me. we were the type of friend group that would roleplay during recess and we would assign each other characters. i was assigned jake and looking back on it i can’t tell if that was an insult… but anyways it made me want to read the comic to get the full context!
(still love jake to this day lol)

When I was in college, my forum friends, who were really into Problem Soothe, pestered me to read Homestuck. I thought it was going to be really dumb at first, since there had been a lot of crappy forum adventures over on Somethingawful, but when it started getting into the dialogues and particularly the Skaia stuff I knew I was hooked. And many years passed, and many great and terrible things happened to me, but Homestuck was continually and increasingly an inspiration. So I'm grateful for it.
I got into it likeee november/december last year- I was aware of it as a canonical work in tumblr culture for a while, which made it automatically on my to-read list (alongside undertale), and had several vriskas in my tumblr social sphere for a while before reading.
The reason I actually read it though was because I had a conversation with my friend where homestuck being a famoud thing we hadn't read but wanted to was mentioned, I was like "huh I should look into it and see if I can read it", and that very same day, with her on a bench beside me, started reading it unaware of the sheer scale of the story i was about to embark on XD
Was introduced to the then-ongoing Problem Sleuth via another forum I was frequenting way back when. Once PS ended, stuck around and was there at the beginning when the Alpha version released then followed by the re-start a couple of days later.
I ended up getting into Homestuck via Problem Sleuth, which I found through a VGCats banner ad. Really enjoyed PS, so I stuck around for the next work!
i got the extreme deltarune pawtism and was looking at toby fox older works. i remembered a friend had recommended it to me and thought i may as well give it a try. finished it in like two weeks and here i am now :P
i was a bored depressed and quite literally home-stuck teenager on a random october so i thought it would hollow out the pain if i just read something super long like homestuck to keep me sane. i didnt end up getting too far or paying that much attention to it, but the february the year after that i decided to read it via the unofficial homestuck collection and for some reason got really hooked???
i only got into it last year. my partner told me to read it, then i had a category 7 autism moment and now it has consumed my brain
THIS POST IS NOT A POST OF HONOR. NO HIGHLY ESTEEMED DEED IS COMMEMORATED HERE.
Wild to see teenagers getting into Homestuck in 2025.
I was acclimating to a Skype group I got into by being friends with one of its members. Two of the members were Problem Sleuth marks, which prompted me to checking out mspaintadventures. Which is how I found out that the same person was making that Homestuck thing that kept appearing on the fringes of other internet spheres I was in. I decided to go through Problem Sleuth (and Jailbreak once I learned how short it was) first and tuned into Homestuck while Act 5 was going on. I was fully caught up by the time Cascade went live.
Magic is FAKE AS SHIT/FUCKING REAL
when i was 7 i was SUPER obsessed with undertale and i saw there was a version of megalovania in whatever homestuck is, i wound up liking this version way more than the undertale version and wanted to know the context for the scene it was used in and became js enamored in the plot of homestuck
sigh i miss karezi
homestuck was something always in the back of my mind for like. years, and i mostly consumed it through comic dubs like octopimp's. i had tried to read it around 2014 or so, but my brother discouraged me because he thought i wasnt mature enough yet. i ended up reading it again a few years later and caught up to it just before the final upd8 came out, and i have been stuck at home ever since

In 2017 I watched Jacksepticeye's first episode of Hiveswap and immediately bought the game. After completion I completely forgot about it until next summer when I rediscovered the extended zodiac and dipped my toes into the original comic.
