Been super into this series lately, did a prequel rewatch about a month ago and damn do I love those movies. They've got a vibe that's really nowhere else. Been trotting along with TCW but my god does it get boring sometimes...
HIHIHIII I LOVE STAR WARS YAY!!!!!! I love the prequels even though they suck .. i love revenge of the sith its kind of like homestcuk but opposite where like. the end of homestcuk is kinda not great .and revenge of the sith is kind of not great until the end :) and i love r2d2

i love thinking about how obi wan kenobi was really anakins only father figure.and how obi wan essentially was a teen/young parent because qui gon died before obi wan was ready to take on a padawan and anakin blames him for everything despite him trying his best. AUGH. UGHHH I LOVE THE ANGST.its so good

I do like how he never says anything akin to "He was like a son to me" in the OT because they really were closer to brothers even though it was obvious Anakin looked up to him in a way. Despite their friendliness, he was still an authority figure and quite the intimidating one at times, so there was definitely a barrier between them which (among other things) led to Palpatine wriggling his way in there as Anakin's true father figure. That wasn't exactly Obi-Wan's fault though, it was the Jedi's for not coming up with a solution when it came to how to raise Anakin. I think the prequels make for a good autism allegory even though that probably wasn't the intention :D
