Remember update culture? Remember when we thought Dirk's name would be Dick? Remember when your could bend down and get back up? We, The Greatest Generation of the fandom, now have our own thread. Here's to surviving 15 years of community infighting and (inshallah) 15 more.
What are you up to in your Golden Years?
I used to be a feral teen fan and now I have my own cast iron pan and a fiber supplement.

@discordantObserver I know how you feel. I lost my father at the beginning of last year and it still feels like yesterday. Just remember: They live on through your memories, what they taught you that you can teach others, and in your very being. You got this! You are gonna bring mIrAcLeS to someone one day because of what that person taught you, I just know it. ):0)
The Real Homestuck?
That's the friends we made along the way!

I'm going to try to give this thread a bump to keep it active. This is mainly because for my sanity I refuse to let one of the few threads where everyone is around a similar (adult) age disappears. Unless everyone has aged up and withered to dust now :[ (you would think compression wear would keep it all together?)

I see some older Homestucks regard new fans in an apprehensive Get Off My Lawn sort of way but I like seeing everybody in the grass personally. As much as I love the story I don't spend as much time working on stuff related to it as I used to, so it's nice seeing the party continue under the guidance of these rambunctious strangers
The success of a paradigm may not be for the reasons it claims (i.e. accurate description of the world). This is good.
@Malo My thoughts exactly. Always a joy to see new fans getting into it.
Me, I'm trying hard to avoid the Fan-to-Asshole Pipeline that so many middle-aged nerds slide down with wild abandon. So, bring on the new fans! Bring on the new stories! This past 40 days has been insane. I had no inkling that my niche, past-its-peak fandom would be getting anything more than HSBC coming off hiatus this summer.

I'm in my 40's but I turned off the thing that shows your age so I don't scare the kids. I wasn't really an oldtimer with the comic, only having read the whole thing last year, but I did like Jailbreak and Problem Sleuth and read some of Homestuck, probably the first hundred pages or so back in the day.
