10/2/25 This is real I had a dream last night that Vast Error came out and I made a big thank u post for everyone who checks in on this thread... I don't think anyone checks in on this thread regularly. My subconscious believes im a big deal

10/5/25 It's actually really helpful that no one reads this bc that way no one can tell how often I forget to update it whoopsie daisy. Anyways, every time I make one of these posts I open deconrecon to see if it's been updated yet, and i alwasy hope I'll open it and the most recent post won't say 3/4. Alas that is not today. HOWEVER. IT IS TOMORROW.

10/6/25 Hi guys it still ain't out yet for some reason... it's almost like the writers don't work on my dime... how queerious. Despite this, I think that they'll take pity on a poor victorian child such as myself and release it TOMORROW.

10/7/25 Hello every nyan, this may come as a surprise to many of you, and you all have my deepest condolences. I know this is a time of grieving and I'm right there with you. Vast Error did not update today. I know how hard this all must be for everyone but I promise if we all stay strong we will make it through. I love you all, if anything happens because we're grieving VE just reach out to me. Stay strong kings queens and other non specified royalty.

10/8/25 I don't wanna go to classsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss I was gonna skip bc attendance isn't graded, but we had "10/8 In class Assignment" So there goes that. I'm gonna get McDonalds after class as consolation, and hopefully vast error updates today to comfort me.

10/12/25 Hi guys ill be honest im getting kinda bored of waiting so ive decided to enter my own session of sburb so that I can find time travel shenangians and skip ahead to when it gets updated. Ill be starting tomorrow so ill keep ya'll updated on how it goes. Bc as we all know FRAF is the point of intersection between all instances of the game so you all will of course still receive my updates. See ya'll tomorrow!!

10/13/25 Ok everyone, I've set up as both my own server and player session, the only natural course of action i could come to. Is that going to doom my session? 100% yes but yknow womp womp. Im not trying to win, just read VE. I can see my house set up and I've deployed everything I need to, I have like 4 minutes and 4 seconds till the meteor strikes so I'm gonna stop typing and get to prototyping my kernelsprite and deploying my cruxdowel. Ill let you know if im dead tomorrow. See ya!!

10/14/25 Hi guys Im not dead. So I prototyped a deer skull I have in my closet into the kernelsprite before entering the session (not tryna have a voided session duh) and my artifact was a ripped shirt and a needle, once I sewed the hole closed I entered the session. After entering my session I double prototyped my sprite with a second skull, this time a raccoon skull. It now talks really eerily and kind of animalistic, but its good enough that I can make out most of it. It told me that my land is the Land of Funerals and Religion (http://farragofiction.com/SBURBSimE/ocQuiz.html) and that I'm the Thief of Doom. I got to doing some rudimentary alchemy and taking care of any imps that I come across. But otherwise progress is slow. I'll tell ya'll more tomorrow.

10/15/25 This game is fucking HARD. I realized a bit ago that I should technically have a session not unlike Caliborn, but I don't and I don't know why? Single player sessions are built to be practically impossible unless you're a time player, but I'm set up with a typical Skaia battlefield session, albeit a very simple chessboard. I wonder if it has anything to do with my classpect? I wonder if I stole the doom out of the session lol. Anywho, I kept fighting imps and eventually some bigger ogres and got a bunch of grist, my strife specibus is programmed to be batkind so I've just been wacking stuff. I alchemized it to have spikes and stuff but nothing like SUUUUUUUUPER OP. Having gotten that grist I built up to my gate and I'm just below it now. I'll probably tell you whats on the other side tomorrow but still no progress on time travelling to read VE. Time travel is sort of built into SBURB tho so I'm sure I'll find a way soon enough. In the meantime I'm sure it'll come out tomorrow. I'll let u all know how it goes :]

10/19/25 Hello. It's been about 4 days and its TOTALLY NOT because i forgot to update and my gf TOTALLY wasn't in town irl. The reason I haven't updated is because once I passed through the gate, my connection shut down to practically zero. I'm not sure why bc SBURB is meant to have universal wifi. Idk anyways. I've managed get myself a wifiless way to post so that'll NEVER be an issue again. Last time I updated I was about to enter my first gate and discover what exists on the land of Religion and Funerals. I'm happy to say that its lowkey super cool. The planet is covered in religious imagery and graveyards. Shockingly the consorts are lizard skeletons reanimated. They aren't very helpful bc they have no vocal cords, but they have a version of Sburbian sign language which im very slowly picking up. In the meantime I'm running mostly blind. Through any written records I've found, the way to "fix" my planet and awaken my abilities as a thief of doom is to perform a ritual and take the doom from this planet to return life to its surface. I don't think it'll kill me but yknow, thief of doom is a dangerous classpect to have if you don't really know what you're doing. I have a guess that my godtier bed has something to do with this ritual but idk where it is. OH, other interesting thing happened. My dream self woke up on derse, but strangely enough, I'm not sure if there IS a prospit because I'm the only player. I haven't seen it, but there are prospitan carapacians so it must be somewhere. While flying around derse I met one of the "reocurring" sburb entities, this world version of diamonds droog. Not a pleasant guy but I think hes (mostly) harmless. Anyways, I found my second gate and I managed to get in, it took me back to my house as there was no other planet to go to, so i'm not sure what to do from here. I'll keep you updated as I find out more.

10/22/25 Okay hi guys I'm back, that was so weird I blacked out for exactly two days and nothing of relevance happened at all. What a weird world. Hopping through my second gate brought me back to my house, which I've now realized is because I'm my own server player, so if i'm to go to my server players planet, as is standard through the second gate, I just come back here. I really don't know what to do from here, so I consulted with my SkullSprite and it told me that this ISN'T a dead session. I don't know what that implies nor how that could be possible at all, but now that I'm really thinking about it, I had a normal entry, my planet wasn't sucked into a black hole, I have a denizen as the consorts have let me know, I have CONSORTS, the underlings AREN'T skeletons, and Skaia looks normal. So I guess either I was right about the doom thing, or theres another player here or on their way. Who knows guess we'll find out when the powers that be decide whats cooler. I've made little to no progress on attempting to read VE, and I'm wondering if it's achievable without a time player? I think my best bet exists in the meteor facilities in all honesty. Theres a bunch of weird timey wimey stuff in there so I'll take a look when I find a way there. In the meantime I am SURE it ill come out tomorrow.

10/25/22 (Apologies for the sporadic updates, it was midterm week. I'm done now) Okay so hi everyone, I did some alchemy to get some better gear and just in general level up a bit now that I've wandered through my land and gotten more grist. I think my current working plan is to go back up to the surface and find a gate to teleport me to the meteors. Oh i forgot to mention, my house is below ground in a massive cave? When I go through my first gate it spawns me on top of a grave with my name so I suppose my house is below there. Sorry for the short update, sometimes sburb is boring.

10/26/25 (out of character im glad to know people read these and that u like them :O I hope you all have a lovely day I love you all :)) Alright, im up on the surface and I've been digging around for a while. I found my gate that I HOPE will lead to the meteor but like... idk, they don't exactly put signs out for me. but anyways, before i hop in i need to tell ya'll some stuff that happened bc im like kinda reeling. I met this sessions spades slick and he started yelling at me about how I my actions had doomed our session into perpetual non progression and that I was the sole reason that the game could never be won, but it would never be lost. I don't know what he's talking about and so I'm choosing to ignore it, he had a skull make on tho so I think he likes the outfit this time around. yay :) I don't think he likes me very much tho, maybe I "stole" less of the doom than I thought? Idk it spooked me, he seemed less put together, even if "put together" for him is stabby and angry. Anyways, I'm about to hop through this gate and see whats on the other end! later yall!!
