So I was doing my thing, you know. Cruising on through the various labyrinthine monoliths that make up the internet.
Then I found a little website called dirkstrider.net.
Now, I don't usually get intrigued by a lot of things, but this in particular caught my eye. I can remember trying to find websites named after characters a while back and dirkstrider.net didn't seem to net any results. But, at some point, it started to, I guess.
What do you guys think about it?
The most recent newspost by Miles says they'll be updating "at least twice a month." I'm guessing we'll have to wait a little longer than that to see more upd8s.
And that's about it.
I think Dirk mentioning "days" could also just mean a multitude of them. After all, thirty days makes a month, and I guess you'd technically be correct in saying that it would take "days", not "years", to see them.
hold on, did the creator of the thread/forum delete their acc?
i feel like this could be the start start of an arg maybe?
I don't think this is official, I suspect a lot of this was made with the help of ChatGPT.
> What you're witnessing in Act 2 isn't just the introduction of new characters. It's the culmination of years of divine meddling, compressed into a narrative powder keg that's about to explode. Nymphs with their tidal turns and prophecies, satyrs with their thermal weapons and aggressive problem-solving. All dancing on the edge of apocalypse.
This line in particular. No way a human fully wrote that. Someone made a draft then told the bot to make it sound like Dirk, leading to the oddities.
OP deleted their acc (i think?) yeah this is def some arg bullshit
@hal9000fanboy
theyve had this username since the start! and its always lead to a 404!
and that makes me a little... bit. Pensive!
"ok, i can move. sorry for getting everything wet, ive been crying for the past 20 or so minutes"
I mean... the HSBC team can do the arg stuff.
Obviously OP was fishy from the start (does any of you search daily for johnegbert.com?)
welp get your inspect elements and photoshops ready as we take a plunge into extremely old and obscure references in order to find out just how deep the rabbit hole goes
also cool signature sodacan
I'm still here, guys. I'm pretty sure the site is just bugging the hell out on me. No idea why.
@makin i kinda doubt someone would put this much effort into a creating a fake site but write the dialogue with chatgpt
re: makin
I ran the line you refrenced through an AI detection program and you were right. it was almost all ai. which is weird because, anyone trying to pass this off as dirk strider making a hidden website wouldnt even make it in the first place if they needed to use entirely ai to replicate dirk striders speech.
now, considering the person who "found" this website is named "autoresponder" who is literally an AI trying to pass as dirk, well...that make things a little interesting, does it? lol
this arg isn't just big -- it's large.
refer to bio
its almost as if the autoresponder guy was still here
i say wistfully closing my eyes as the wind breezes by picking up a stray nostalgic tear
Okay how the hell do ai detection programs even work! i feel like saying it has to be ai gen because of how odd it is is???? weird??? dirk talks weird! Hes always talked odd with big words!
also ive been holding it back but how would someone even Make and catch the autoresponder username! doesnt this site block you from any canon handles?
"ok, i can move. sorry for getting everything wet, ive been crying for the past 20 or so minutes"
re: hal9000fanboy
Not really, no. Unless it was claimed by the copyright owner or something, anyone can take a domain regardless of copyright law. That's why domain squatting exists.
Specifically dirkstrider.net seems like something I'd find available on Porkbun, too...
@hal9000fanboy
not enough characters to even try to determine if AI wrote it. it is quite obviously the real deal. If autoresponder was an user like any of us, I could dismiss it as a high effort troll (for what purpose?), but no, this is real. Just go check when dirkstrider was seemingly bought... (:
