It's incredibly unacceptable that HICU lied about what they are imo, and obviously what they've done to the Only Way To Read Homestuck (TM).
I'm just frankly surprised that, especially after griping about wanting to disconnect from it all with Psycholonials, that Hussie still wants to micromanage Homestuck as a brand?
I'd take everything said here with a grain of salt right now, this is only one side of the discussion and at least from what I do know (which is admittedly not everything) I can say confidently there a few counts here of him outright spreading false information, intentionally leaving out information that I do believe is relevant, and twisting some information to make it seem worse than it is.
There will likely be a more formal statement from official channels soon on this, and I'm not asking you to just believe them or myself blindly over Gio, I just ask you consider both sides before coming to a conclusion.
I'm fine with this being untrue to be honest. I reacted kind of emotionally at first, upon further evaluation I think there's a lot of bias here and I don't really care. I'm just going to go back to rotting now
personally, i trust gio's words. if i remember correctly, sarah z reported on VERY similar behavior back in 2021 and was hit with legal pushback all the same, so i just see it as either an extension of what she reported on or an evolution into even worse behavior.
either way, to me it sounds like some deep-set paranoia and control issues. i hope he goes to therapy or something, jesus christ.

While I can't speak for anyone other than myself, from my own experience with them I'm personally wary about how biased their article might be and to what extend they are twisting information. I got into that experience in another thread that I'll link here:

Also, I'm pretty sure Gio was also the source for Sarah Z's video.
I don't think it's unlikely, personally, I just think Gio badly reported on it. Like I've been in the MSPFA Homestuck channel for a while and people are just ripping apart their words. If anyone else speaks up or Gio elaborates on certain issues I'll understand.
