im mostly not just diving straight in cause i'm shy, but i am a firm believer that friend led dess, kris, asriel, and noelle to the bunker, and that kris could've saved dess but didnt (hence the symbolism on hands)

either that, or we may make them remove in snowgrave so they can't get rid of us...

rice theory. im being serious on this i think it actually holds some ground. critiques welcome

Jockington is FRIEND theory or Jockington is a Goner theory both intrigue me and they feel like legitimate ways that toby could expand on his character.. the fact that he hangs out with the primarily pink, yellow, and black cat Catti, and the fact that his prophecy is replaced by the Tail of Hell in the Second Sanctuary is proof enough for me.. that and Temmie’s cryptic tweet about snakes being cats in disguise or something like that

Ever since Chapters 3 and 4 came out Ive changed my stance on Gasters involvement in Deltarune.

Before that I was certain he was going to be the main villain [theres still a chance].

But now he seems like a strange onlooker of all the events.

My personal theory is he introduced us [the player/soul] into the world to see if we could change the prophecy or to see if freedom could be achieved in a predetermined world.

i dont really understand the jockington friend theory tbh
like idk it just doesnt make any sense logistically in the game
there are some connections but its way too out there for me

the jockington goner theory makes more sense

also what do we think about sword route? ive been hesitant to do it due to the snowgrave connections but the more i look into it the more im confused about that

I don't think that ██████ actually looks like the mystery man sprite. I also get this odd feeling that Memoryhead will be relevant somehow.

I do not think that Ralsei will be a main party member forever. I also think Ralsei uses a cool airship to get around the Dark Worlds, and that we'll gain access to this airship later.

Every chapter seems to ask more questions than it answers. I get the feeling that this wild ride will end with many questions that will never be answered. or maybe we'll get deltarune^2 or something

funnily enough, i have an outlandish theory in which mad dummy is mike. it stemmed from the mad is spamton theory. but that was disproven with the bonus room cut scene.
i do think mad has ties to spamton, (i would explain all the correlations, but I am vastly too tired for it)
but. mike- or at least the person handing out shadow crystals- has to be a lightner. the knight has one, and asgore has one.

Asgore and Spamton both have similar ties. They both know mad. In chapter 2, mad makes a flirtatious comment towards asgore. so mad knows, and would have a drive to try to interact with asgore. Mad also is able to interact with spamton neo by helping mettaton create the vessel. In doing so, they left the shadow crystal behind.

This theory very much has a lot of random leaps, and the fact that Mad is my favorite undertale character (i need more mad deltarune content)
But, I also do think that, if this theory is correct. Then Mike is a misunderstanding. The characters got the spelling wrong. Spamton heard the name over the phone. Tenna heard it from spamton. A game of telephone if you will. Mike is spelled Mic. And it’s an acronym for something. Mad Incorporeal Copy or something.

But, Mad being another Cat Girl is often over looked in many theories (mad mew mew my beloved)

I don't really have any theories. Though I have one hope. I hope we can free Kris from the possession situation. Like come on we have to get ourselves outta their chest and into i dunno. a hamster ball or something

I just want my vessil kris please I wanna be buddies, I feel so bad for them everytime they rip the soul out cause I remember I totally took their control away.

quick lore speculations i have:

- December Holiday is the Chara of Deltarune. Dess is the one who "discards" your vessel at the beginning of the game and "no-one can choose who they are in this world" is the thematic "kill or be killed" of Deltarune. Your goal (on the normal route) is to defy this notion, which the plot is building up to with Susie and Gerson.

- The beginning of chapter 2 is a flashback (where Toriel says "Is that a knife? NOOOO". Kris used their knife to hurt someone (or defend themselves) in their past.

- "Determination" wordplay continues in Deltarune. "Determination" could mean the capability to choose an outcome or see things how they really are. The anxiety the fun gang have around the prophecy also align with the philosophical idea of determinism, where free will does not exist and everything that happened in the past, present, and future is unavoidable.

- Darkness not only serves as a simple lack of light in the game, but is also a source of INdeterminism, where everything is far more unpredictable, and with enough darkness reality itself can start to break down, and this maybe have been the thing that transported Sans from Deltarune to Undertale.

- FRIEND is critical to the plot and will be a Schrodinger's cat. Many hilarious quantum physics hijinks ensue.
