i wonder what grotesque predestined death is waiting for her. seems to be the trend with doom players.

ly'lac i feel is so heavily doom coded, but a fun out of left field choice that still works could be time. though with ly'lac being doom, it calls into question the omega kids...i've been assuming blood/harry, mind/vrissy, doom/yiffy, rage/tavvy...but unless we're having two doom players, SOMEBODY's gotta change...

well obviously dirk didn't account for the omega kids so they're gonna have duplicate aspects duh

It would be cute to see Ly'lac turn out to be a Witch of Doom, considering Rose spent a while roleplaying as one.

My strongest wager is Bard of Blood Tavvy.

Ly'lac is so Doom coded it isn't even funny. perpetually bomb'd up and fated and even just a tad bit bifurcated?

I'd feel like it's too apparent if Homestuck didn't just lay it all out like that too. But hell, there's a few hints about art and gardening that maybe might lead towards Space?

If everyone's right about being a witch, but Ly'lac literally just has Jade's title i'd bust a gut.

I've seen people guess Bard of Doom Ly'lac a lot, I'm guessing because of her tendency to destroy things or the association with bombs. I can't say I don't see the reasoning here. It'd certainly be interesting if a main character was both a Bard AND a Doom player, considering how those two aren't very explored in the main comic.

Witch of Doom sounds like a good early prediction. I'm still hoping the human quartet fills out the missing human aspects (Doom, Rage, Mind, Blood). I'd be excited to see these new species characters fill out our understanding on some of the classpects. I dread losing all the fanmade lore but I hunger for official classpect info.

if there's new classes/aspects, it would really need to be well justified with how they interact with the narrative in a meta sense, since the current classes and aspects cover all the bases pretty well imo

anyway my current ly'lac classpect prediction is seer of doom, but witch sounds like a good guess too

so i think we should grow to understand classpects as loose, skaia defined story archetypes rather than explicit prescriptive definitions of how people should act. especially since they're based on the embarrassment that is jungian archetypes. the issue i have with those archetypes is that its difficult, at least within the context of homestuck, to know exactly WHAT the exceptions to the rules are. We can safely say that all 3 knights put up fronts to protect themselves--like shields--but what about when a knight doesn't do that? do they become less of a knight? i dont think so. then you have thieves which are, themselves, uniquely maligned in the two instances we've found them in. hell!vriska is moving towards sylph coding, does that make her less of a thief?

at the end of the day, they are inflexible, thematic marks on what should be a growing person. they are the symbols of a society that the gnostic initiate seeks to outgrow. and basically i think they offer opportunities for commentary on prescriptivist archetypes in society. men being, "violent," women being, "caretakers." these are all ideas. they do not and should not define us

I could see Ly'lac as doom, but I could also see blood in a more destructive class. She seems like a character who could create problems via messy relationships even if unintentionally.

Hm, With the new chapters out what could we say is the classpect for Tenna? He seems so stuck in the past, with his happy moments.

i think vrissy/mind is still very very solid. she can do mind-control stuff even vriska can't do. thief of mind, probably? she kind of steals away harry's choice when vriska offers to get people out of Candy. she just drags him along with her.

harry...harry could be so much. blood, as an interesting opposite to his father, and the way he's so concerned for vrissy's wellbeing...but also his theater interests could be space or heart. but blood feels the best for him, most fitting as of right now.

yiffy is giving a lot of rage. her whole "Potential is often killed for the sake of comfort, and that's bad" is very Rage-coded. but we'll need to see more of her to really get a grasp.

and tavvy is...ugh, he's so doomed too. he's very aware of how bad his situation is. if you, when signing up for this place, try to put in "tavvy" or "tavroscrocker", he says "It's not that i don't want to share,,, but, doing so seems more cruel,,," and "I assume you're a normal, innocent person,,, don't do this to yourself,,," and like. i dunno. that feels very doom to me.

skaianetsystems: i'd say hes a poop of shit. easy. next
