but,
alabaster is one of my fav fanventures I’ve read, but that may be because im a little horror junky. but also, because i’m perfectly on edge. i wanna see this doomed session surpass Vamuin’s and Renart’s mistakes to not be doomed

You know the most important things about the characters and it's a quality I can appreciate. :P

Man, I remember reading this way back when, the glitch segment with Ginneo was sick. Rereading it and seeing all the cameos from old fanventures like Superego was a blast from the past.

Glad to see it's still going strong, your new style you've been using since you started updating is great. Looking forward to seeing how the story develops.

Wanted to share my appreciation from waaay back (circa when it originally stopped). I read a ton of MSPFA back then and Alabaster stuck with me the most of them all (though it's close with the sadly-canned A Complete Waste of Time, which had similar alt-hivebent energy). The style is just so singular, I just watched Vamuin: Land again and I just love how it feels like it could reasonably be a "Sburb" Land while also being so different from what we would expect from a "Homestuck" Land. The whole comic is like that, it's really cool.

I think I'm going to save doing a big reread (not my first one either!) for when the comic is finished :) But I'm really looking forward to that day.

AGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

i tried reading alabaster a couple years ago, when i was still sorta new to homestuck and excited to see what big fan content there was to explore, but i remember not really understanding much of it... having just binged through all of it over like two to three days, i am HOOKED for sure. i didn't even know that it was still being actively updated, but i am so so happy to hear that it is!!!

it is SO crazy how likable the cast is!!! i did NOT expect to like ginneo as much as i do, and renart is SO much fun any time he's on screen... makes me feel inspired to put more thought into my characters and worldbuilding :') so many times while reading i had to just pause and say to myself, "oh my GOD, this is so clever." especially where game mechanics and modus gimmicks are concerned.

thank you for putting so much time and effort into this story... i think possibly the most amazing thing about it is how much it's retained its unique identity even for as long as it's been running. it's only gotten bigger, darker, and more mature! like a little genius grub making its magical metamorphosis into a brave genius wiggler who is also...... a rainbow drinker or something???? no that can't be right. i think this metaphor might be going off the rails a bit.

still, i am eager to keep reading!!! :D

OK, I'm midway through and this is a SERIOUSLY good comic that needs more eyes on it! It has everything from more detailed Planet quest action to the sheer unhinged mayhem a bunch of near-adult Alternians can perpetrate on a story.

A couple of things today.

First, to the general sadness of the Homestuck community, TOMORROW, FRIDAY 24 OCTOBER, IS THE FINAL SAHCON.

SAHcon 2025, the Stuck At Home Convention, is upon us! As its name indicates, it's a big online Homestuck event. It's THE annual Homestuck event, even! Sadly, it will be the last SAHcon. As Jonaya Riley indicated in Important Announcement about the future of SAHcon, the convention is closing its doors. The organizers are tired and do not find anyone they feel comfortable with entrusting the event to.

It's a bittersweet goodbye. SAHcon is a powerful event that began in 2019, and was integral to keep the spirit of Homestuck alive in the most difficult years the community went through. Six years we not enough, but we're all grateful for what the team gave us. THANK YOU SAHCON!

Alabaster is back for the final SAHcon! The second trailer is called Alabaster: The Final Chapter, since we are getting close to said sixth chapter and to the conclusion of the adventure.

Second, we've got a 20 pages update!

In the future, I may not indicate every update in this thread, since I often work quickly and I don't want to spam it. But this one I'm quite happy with.
