doing a homestuck re-read rn,, i'm on act 5 act 2 and i wonder what people's favorite act is
idk if this discussion is tired already,, i'm a bit new to the fandom,, i'm like a born-again homestuck fan
but yeah umm i think i'll go first!! so far,, act 4 is my favorite one!! it has one of my favorite [S] pages, i really like the exploration game at the start, and it was just really fun to read!!

Act 6 is one of my faves only because I love how picked up the action is!! Homestuck starts out so slow that the fast pace is so refreshing and it’s like HOLY SHIT!! :D

Act 1-3 :]]]]]]] and Some of act 4. I love the art and the Shitposty humor and the lack of Melodramatic exchanges

It's between Act 6 Act 5 and Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 5 for me, but i think A6A6I5 takes the cake for me.

in terms of raw writing i think act 2 honestly hits so good. it gets overshadowed a lot in the wake of later acts but like FUCK it's got jokes. the bathtub scene was act 2. the entire dave puppet sequence was act 2. sbahj was act 2. rose W mustache was act 2.

Its hard to pick a favorite between Acts 1-4, I'm finding that in my most recent reread act 5 is where I'm losing steam, and I'm not particularly excited for act 6, but its been so long since I last read it (like 7 years), maybe it will surprise me!

i agree with waterwide, act 5 act 2. EOA5 Cascade is of course iconic. i feel the narrative did a lot to raise the stakes and character dynamics. it sets the tone in a big way for the wild ride that act 6 is.
act 5 act 2 walked so act 6 could run.
