For those of us who have sunk far too much time into thinking about these oh so silly thangs..
to start it off, i REALLY think people misunderstand mages as a class, a lot of people just leave it at "They know their aspect because they have suffered it", but i personally think they have so much more to do with their classical archetype they're based off of than people would think. Sollux for example is literally a loner who only grants information regarding doom at times that are "right" or "appropriate" (Which is also why arasol is peak since aradias time powers assist sollux in what he does but i digress), thats literally like an archetypal mage who lives in a tower with a big old grey beard and a big book of spells
AND, it contrasts well with the archetypal seer, whom would likely serve a community or group at large

Hey, just so that we can keep classpecting discussion consolidated, I'm going to lock this thread. We have a topic pinned in the category for general classpect discussion(https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/t/classpect-thread), and another already created for classpecting yourself (https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/t/share-your-classpect). If you want to talk about something more specific you can make a topic for that, but if we already have one for general classpect talk I encourage you to use that! I think you'll find a lot more people engaging with your ideas there than in a separate new empty topic.

I totally agree i think either people are too vague, don’t understand or misunderstood the point of mages. I wish we understood more about all the classpects, it bothers me that i can’t get an exact answer or be completely confident in my answer because the extended zodiac and homestuck are the only ”official“ classpect source. But if i go and look at others interpretations it’s off or i feel like im not understanding. What i’ve done to better understand is give my friends classpects and when it comes to my own characters i can understand why and what traits i would give them based on their classpects.
