Karnaya means the world to me omg

I'm a huge fan of Chixie/Elwurd - a ship that's so much fun but so uncommon there appears to be exactly one of them on AO3... which is a story I wrote. I also put it into Friendsim 2 as a possibility, although there's a few things that need to go right for them to end up together.

I've been getting into pale DirkJade recently, i've seen a couple people play with it but I think it has a lot of potential. They actually have quite a lot in common other than engineering, like both waking up their dream selves early or living on islands, and a similarity in their drives to push forward.

Idk I think it's fun to play with! Whether or not they'd be good for each other really depends on circumstance but I think they would without a doubt be an unforgettable experience for each other paleways :)

I think Porrim and Latula would be cute!

not sure how rare these are but terezi x nepeta, sollux x terezi, aradia x kanaya, porrim x latula, porrim x aranea, vriska x rose, and damara x meulin (all to differing degrees of personal enthusiasm and varying quadrants, I think most of my ships are too popular to be considered rare). also, ive seen a lot of dave x jake art lately and i've been warming up to it as a crackship since i don't care for dirk x jegbert lol

obligatory junejasprose mention teehee. i also like the expatriate/the handmaid because i like to think of her going and hiding in his voidy aura thing to get a break from doc scratch. also dad crocker/diamonds droog is realllllllly funny to me. i like a bit of slightly weird and queerplatonic dirkjane as well. and janerezi is neat too

i feel like a crazy person every time i broach this topic. i read every page of this thread and you know what i didn't see a single person mention? TavJake. tavros nitram and jake english. why is this? why does this ship elude everyone? is it because people simply don't care enough about neither jake nor tavros, so putting them together is the sprite^2 of not giving a fuck? or maybe it's because the breadth of their canon interaction is a small percentage of a6a6i5, so it goes to the wayside? either way it's unforgivable. tavjake is the endgame ship that never got the chance to be.

on a very basic level, there are the very obvious and intentional similarities. they're just really similar characters, and going into all of them would be a little silly, because this isn't a silly page boy analysis thread.

more importantly, let's look at some specific lines here:

JAKE: Hahaha oh tavrosprite.

clearly, they crave each other carnally. this evidence i've laid out here should really say all you need to "Get It." but i am sure some will protest! yes, jake and tavros are similar, and that promotes a sense of compatibility. but also, is it not possible that they are TOO similar, and in a romantic context they may in fact become worse as people? to that i say: maybe! but is that such a BAD thing, i wonder? while tavjake has the potential to be incredibly healthy and enjoyable for both parties, i believe there is also value in something that sucks. i think, if tavros and jake make each other worse perhaps, in some new and different way, then i think it'll have been worth it.

oh yeah! also. gcatavrosprite. CONSIDER. he is a blue cat boy. what are also blue and cat-like and incredibly appealing to jake? that's right. those avatar guys. the blue ones. the thing neytiri was. i never watched those movies but jake sure did. he LOVES those motherfuckers. in fact he loves blue people in general! like tavros. who's blue now!

oh god what's left....... oh YEAH! tavros also killed jake harley that one time, though his culpability in that is honestly suspect to me, because honestly bec didn't have to make the bullet go there. but regardless, jake made up for it by killing a bunch of tinkerbull lusii!!! that, to me, is a cosmic sign. a poignant connection across time and space. THIS, TOO, IS YAOI.

SEE??????????? SEE ALL THIS EVIDENCE I HAVE??????? I AM SURE YOU AGREE THAT I HAVE PROVEN CONCLUSIVELY, BEYOND ALL DOUBT, THAT TAVJAKE IS MAYBE SOMETHING THAT MAKES SENSE AS A SHIP FROM A LOGICAL PERSPECTIVE. i don't really ship characters in general.. but aranea x jane just makes too much sense to me

Vriska and Rose should've talked more honestly, I'm kind of surprised they didn't for some reason. They could be two really fucked up gals who need therapy together. Also does anyone ship Jade and Nepeta, I like the dog girl x cat girl dynamic they could have had and am really sad that Jade and Nepeta never actually got to like meet or whatever.
