Most hated character?

I'm a big fan of the dichotomy of posts here. They are all either "I wouldn't say hate necessarily but this one character's actions made me a little frustrated..." or "if they ever show their face again, it's on site"

probably gamzee and cronus for me. gamzee has always been a bit annoying and his racial coding has always felt really poorly done and makes me pretty uncomfortable. meanwhile cronus is literally described by hussie in canon as the worst character, and his only character traits are being a predator and an asshole.

Coming back to say Caliborn because there genuinely isn't enough Caliborn hate in the world. I see his face, and I get so upset for some reason.

Everyone is convinced he was "the best part" of Act 6. That is pure Pro-Caliborn propaganda, and I will not fall for it. The ACTUAL best part of Act 6 was Roxy and Calliope's small but heartwarming friendship arc. I will not have my mind changed; I am completely biased and have no shame in admitting it. The Pro-Calliborn lobby wants you to think that he was the best in that act by taking away the pure accomplishments of women (Yuri) by giving it to a man who is too Yaoipilled.

gamzee. i used to LIKE being a capricorn, yk? it was a nice sign. now, that's it been tainted with association to fucking g*mzee, i feel shame and repulsion at every reminder of being forced under the same zodiac sign as him.

I did not care for Davepeta. Just didn't like them.

Cronus is probably the worst character in the sense that i think there is nothing interesting or even the least bit likable about him, but honestly i hate to see Gamzee more. disgusting creature

i genuinely hate davepeta so much, i could write an essay on the subject, but ultimately it boils down to the fact that it was an insulting way to "end" davesprite's arc

i'm not even a huge davesprite guy or anything but it's this weird moment where every motivation and feeling davesprite has had prior is obliterated because it's easier than writing a proper ending

it's just such a culmination of the failures of act 6 character writing

I have three most hated characters. Arquius, Davepetasprite, and Jake. Hating Jake is mostly just a bit at this point, but the other two...ugh. I'm a massive Davesprite and Hal fan so the fact that they get stuck fusing with other people and becoming completely different characters just bothers me so much. Hal never gets to have his own body and just be himself. Davesprite doesn't get to figure out himself. And the thing about Davepetasprite especially is that they seem to be MORE POPULAR than Davesprite which just makes me really sad. Imagine people like you better when you're a completely different person. I'm sad for him. He deserves better. Both Hal and Davesprite are tragic characters and having their ends just be...that? I hate it so much

@cronus_ampora I was actually struggling to think of anyone that wasn't any of the obvious picks but I have to agree thinking about it it's probably Meenah. Even putting aside the questionable age gap between her and (Vriska) as well as the potential stereotype issues, I just really, really cannot stand the way she dumps (Vriska) in A6A6I5. I actually kind of enjoyed her character beforehand but that scene pretty much assassinated my entire opinion on her, and I find her reasons for dumping (Vriska) to be extremely flimsy and self-centered.
