I think Wario is whatever gets him what he wants. He is wholly mercurial in every way. There is no ideology with a man that horrible. Only a means to an end.
he hoards gold in hopes he can re-establish the gold standard. yet, he requires the logistics of the state to supply him with onions. i think he's conflicted in this regard

He is uninterested in ideology or matters of power. It seems he craves the sensory effect of gold--its cold, smooth sparkle, the feeling of it waterfalling through fingers--moreso than the strategic pursuit of profit maximization which libertarians worship fetishistically.
i think as a capitalist (he owns the warioware company that makes the warioware games right?) who is interested in optimizing for the most money possible, being a libertarian would make sense. their tendency to advocate for deregulation of industry & no new regulations and all that
