But as for the original topic, I think the forum is in a pretty good spot right now. Homestuck deals with dark topics, so it makes sense to keep moderation on a case by case basis. As of right now I haven't witnessed any issues with people romanticizing abusive relationships from the comic or trampling over genuine discussion of the comic, so I think it is working for the forum so far. I suspect as time goes on a stronger policy of what discussion is appropriate on the forum will evolve because as time goes on, there will be more situations and scenarios that force more decisions to be made.
