Favourite Dancestor?

Porrim! Do I even need to describe why? She is a badass feminist lady and not even slightly evil like almost all of the rest of those bozos.

I have found myself endearing a lot to Meenah though. I think there's a lot of flesh to her character once you crack the irreverent exterior. She's an intriguing foil to Roxy and a really fascinating glimpse at the psychology at work in the Condesce, which impacts the way we view Alternia and almost the whole rest of the story. She's like if the whole comic's mom was a bitchy 19 year old girl!

unfortunately i think i have the popular ansvwers of kankri and mituna. kankri sucks in so many ways i can and havwe gone on multiple rants about him to evweryone vwho vwill listen its kind of ridiculous. mitunas just avwesome and i vwill not accept anyone being mean to him evwer i hope cronus ampora dies in real life

ivwe been very fond of porrim in particular lately as vwell though. i cant really explain it quite yet but vwhat a lady idk. araneas also a favworite. i could continue just listing all of them but thatd be silly. i lovwe the dancestors so much. god bless dancestor likers dancestor and ancestor fans are homestucks strongest soldiers

For me it's got to be Aranea or Latula. Aranea is easily the most interesting of the Dancestors, and I'm a little upset she's been mostly sidelined by Meenah. Latula is here because she's cool.

Is it wrong to say Damara? I liked how I had to translate everything when she was speaking.
And, who knew a whole different language could be used as a quirk? I thought that idea was very unique.

Maybe not my favorite but I love Mituna. I really wish he wasn't just like. uh. an offensive caricature of disabled people? but like, that's just a general problem with how Openbound is written. I find his potential and what we know of his role in the story, and his role as an Heir of Doom, to be fascinating. Gold Pilot is also one of my fav Homestuck tracks and while I know that more of a name for the Psiionic, I like to think of Mituna when listening to it.

Well, it'd be Aranea if we're talking about all 12. But if we're talking about the 10 irrelevant ones, probably... Meulin? Not particularly fond of most of them, but I think Meulin, Rufioh, and Latula are decent enough.

Aranea or Porrim, I have a soft spot for Cronus despite him being terrible because I love greaser designs though.

Im so glad to know im not alone as a Cronus liker/lover. This man weaved his way into my heart and I recently replayed all the open bound bits for the umpteenth time and he just... He mad me laugh. My head is in my hands. He cant keep getting away with this.

the dancestors are my favorite group too oh my gosh i love kankri because hes just so weird and complicated like what do you mean jesus christ himself is also like a huge pretentious asshole but also hes such a product of the society he was born into i mean for the first half of his life he wasnt even really allowed to have an opinion of course now hes so opinionated and he doesnt even realize it either he has the potential to be soft and maybe even normal if exposed to the right environment and if he was rewired a little bit i love all of the dancestors (regrettably even cronus) but kankri is just so fascinating to me oh. oh were we not supposed to do the about section of the prompt. im making an ass of myself. okay

My favorite so far is Porrim, I absolutely love how snarky she is towards Kankri. It's like she's done with everyone's bullshit 😭

Porrim is, like, the only one who I like and would probably like talking to. Her and Latula. I love them both so much they give me strength <3 I also like Mituna a lot, but he's third favorite.
