i love chiptune to bits so i will say that i really like gastly, fun with laser guns, exit plan and that one katamari song (i dont remember what exactly its called sorry) by fearofdark and mr. asyu's entire discography but on other stuff i really like anvil - path to nowhere and anvil - backwaters + ive been listening to a lot of ado and linkin park recently (hello signals, rebellion, and readymade for 1 and massive, lost, don't stay and heavy is the crown for 2)

Kinda a niche market, but I love Ken Nordine. He does a lot of these spoken-word dreamlike poetry soundscapes and I really dig it. I also like Tom Waits.

PAUL SHAPERA!!!!!! he makes very good musicals/concept albums that i will recommend until the end of time. tbh i like musicals in general
beyond that, i listen to. a lot of different music. current favorite bands are king gizzard, steely dan, hurry up, and mcr, but that changes pretty often

Anyway, I don't necessarily have favorite bands or whatever, but I mainly listen to alt rock and hardcore and stuff. Bands that always on rotation are Glassjaw, Queens of the Stone Age, Ween, Radiohead, The Callous Daoboys, Acid Bath, Cave In, Nine Inch Nails, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Magdalena Bay, Poison the Well, Circa Survive, and Death Grips

Anyways I'm spreading my Mili propaganda, they've been my favorite band for almost 4 years because of the variety they have in their songs/albums, one interview i saw once called their songs 'fairytale-like' which I personally think is just awesome. Mili genre is my favorite genre ever and ever.
But I do quite dabble in some rock(?) through MCR, Linkin Park, and Paramore from time to time, definitely my second favorite genre
