homestuck has so many iconic alien species, i quite like them all! between carapacians, trolls, leprechauns, cherubs, and now nymphs and soon satyrs... what's your favorite?
mine has to be cherubs because i Love snakes, and the color themings of their swirls and mysterious rules are quite fun to boot :-)
cant go wrong with a good ol' troll hohoho...
i am quite fond of the carapacians for a few reasons, including:
- i really like characters with white facial features on a pitch black face
- the way all their dialogue is described in narration
- noir and the mayor are carapacians
- i just think they're neat!

Im a big fan of the Cherubs mainly for their interesting life cycle. They're very clearly based around god like beings, but grounding them as something that's just another living creature, just on an interplanetary scale, is a super interesting approach.
i'd say i'm QUITE ABNORMAL about carapacians. (god i love indirect dialogue)
