Here's a long-running contender and a recent pick: Eiichi Ohtaki's A Long Vacation and Ok Glass' Same. The former is Japanese Beach Boys (you may have seen it in a Tim Rogers video) and the latter is modern internet TMBG-vibes (you may have seen him on a Jamie Paige track recently)

i've been listening to Currents by Covet--a really cool math rock EP :)
Well, to begin, the one in my avi. Bjork's Homogenic. It's such an amazing album. It's so minimalistic production wise and so full. Love it
Another one of my favorite albums is Live Through This - Hole, whether you like the people behind the band or not it's an extremely raw album. Seriously some of the most piercing/nostalgic songwriting. Throughout the entire album there's consistent metaphors and sort of a story line. Like how milk is used as a metaphor for heroin.
I'd make a longer post and go into all of my favorites but I have too many favorites lol. I like Ray of Light, Clear Hearts Grey Flowers, Visions, Juju, etc etc.

this album changed my life for the first time when i first heard it back in high school, and it changes my life again every single time i press play on track 1. i could talk about this album for hours, but the music says everything i ever could and infinitely more. i hope this finds someone who needs to hear it, like i did all those years ago.
