Discussing The Username Prompt Easter Eggs

there are certain users that are in fact blocked out in order to prevent impersonation of real people or controversial topics, namely things like andrewhussie etc etc, if youre able to take a name it's because we've allowed it :3
waiting to see a fan made spreadsheet containing all the easter eggs! there are So Many

found a few i haven't seen anybody mention yet!

(also haven't seen anybody mention that the prompts change on whether or not you're using a character's full name, first name or last name!)

interestingly, dirk will allow additions to his name whether it's ships or random letters, unless you put dirkjake

following up on the dirkjake prompts, dirk has another line if you use jakedirk instead of dirkjake!

also i wouldn't worry about if it's already been mentioned on another thread! it's nice to have a thread dedicated purely to the username prompts!

i’m having an abzolute field day with the eazter eggz but i can’t figure out how to upload photoz off my camera roll?? should i email them to myzelf and try to do it on my computer..

you'll have to obtain an image link in order to send an image :(

fairly easy as you can just set up a private discord server, send the messages in the chat and choose to copy the image link from there!

I spent a while digging for these. There's so many, that I'm not going to include images of every response message. Instead, I have a guide for what to try & what not to try. Included in parentheses are examples, which should be obvious to extrapolate from when there are numerous options. I will do my best to list cases that are less obvious

Don't try

- Denizens ("Echidna", "Yaldabaoth")

- Locations ("Skaia", "Derse")

- Species ("Troll")

- Non-Homestuck mspa characters ("ProblemSleuth")

- Generic npcs ("BlackKing", "WhiteQueen")

- Consorts ("Salamander")

- Lusii ("Glb'golyb")

Try

- Any canon usernames/tags of Homestuck & Beyond Canon characters ("ectoBiologist"). Don't forget obscurer ones, like "ghostyTrickster", "pipefan413", & "fedorafreak". You can even use the recently revealed Naglink tags (nagtags) of "gavageCunctation", "auguryAside", "cloisteredConnoisewer", & "tinnitusChakra".

Additionally, "z420clownboner69" has an easter egg

- Forenames of characters ("John"), excluding "Dad", "Mom", & "Bro"

- Surnames of characters ("Egbert")

- Full names of characters ("JohnEgbert"). This works for guardians with generic first names ("DadCrocker")

- Nicknames of characters, like "Rolal", "DiStri", "UltimateDirk", "UltDirk", "AltCalliope", & "Al". Yes, "Al" is something alt-Calliope asked to be called. "Callie" yields no response

- Troll ancestor titles without the definitive article ("Sufferer" yields a message from Karkat, but "TheSufferer" doesn't). That ancestor's descendant will comment on the choice, save for "Handmaid". Higher blood castes have more specific names: "TheGrandHighblood", "GrandHighblood",.

- Any fully prototyped sprite name, with & without "sprite" attached ("Jaspersprite", "Jaspers"). For squared sprites, try adding "sprite2", as well

- Universe B1 exiles' names ("WritKeeper"). This includes every title of one exile in particular: "WarwearyVillein", "WaywardVagabond", "Mayor", & "TheMayor"

- The Midnight Crew & Felt names ("SpadesSlick", "Crowbar")

- sbahj names

"Psionic" is spelled without the double-i quirk & without the Greek letter

"Signless" & "Sufferer" both have responses

Sprite edge cases

Though most once-prototyped sprites have no easter egg, "Becsprite" yields a response. Pre-Retcon sprites ("Tavris", "Tavrisprite") & post-Retcon sprites ("GCATavros", "GCATavrosprite") are both valid. Don't forget "Calsprite"

Only some ship names yield responses: "JohnDave", "DaveJohn", "Johnkat", "Davekat", "DaveJade", "Jadekat", "Meenkat", "Roxygen", "RoseMary", "RoseKan", "Roserezi", "Vrisrezi", "AraSol", "GamTav", "GamJane", "JaneJake", "DirkJake", "JakeDirk"

Titles of works
