Open for details, it can be hard to read at a glance. Not going to say these are my favourites strictly speaking but these are the first 16 that come to mind when I think of metal that's dear to me. Three-four of these are maybe good music, too.

seeing a lot of nu metal.. love it i think the funk influences in nu metal make for some really killer guitar riffs/bass lines
i hate to sight mr durst's band but limp bizkit has a killer guitarist that really embraces those elements
my favourite band is portal but i cant recommend anyone actually listen to it. theyre a big inspiration to me and everything i make, and theyre very good at what they do, but what they do is very exhausting to listen to

I mostly love the core stuff, l8 90s/early 00s screamy shit thats still somewhat listenable. Avenged Sevenfold, Darkest Hour, Hopesfall, A Long Winter, Bleeding Through, and old metal like Testament, Anthrax, Sacred Reich, Maiden. And punk since that's close enough. Youth Brigade, Misfits, Cancerslug, Sum 41, Green Day, all that. seriously if anybody else here likes avenged sevenfold please talk 2 me man PLEASE Ill make a topster some other time
