You've just gone to bed, and as far as you can tell, you are currently in a dream. Except dreams tend to have... well, anything going on in them. If they don't, then you weren't really dreaming to begin with. Yet here you are, standing amongst what seems to be nothing at all. You know you're somewhere though, because it's bizarrely vivid.
You also know that you're SADIE BROOKS, twenty-one years old. Your birthday is next week; Saturday, May 30th. Nice that it happens to be a weekend this year. You're dressed as though you're outside despite knowing you were just in bed a moment ago. You look around you to see that nothing is visible besides yourself.
There are two questions currently in mind. The first one is obvious: "where am i". The second one leaves the outcome in your own hands: "what am i doing here". It's likely you'll only get an answer to the latter as soon as your mind is made up.

You suppose you can't deny "down" as an option until you try it.
Subconsciously, you feel like you already know what the texture of the ground(?) beneath you is from having walked on it. You still opt to kneel down and try touching it regardless, and you're not so much disappointed as you are even more confused than before. The floor seems entirely absent of texture. There is just a barrier of nothing that's keeping you in this position. The most you can call it is flat and smooth, but it is entirely devoid of characteristics otherwise.
You stand back up and begin to consider a different option.
