Loading reply snippet...No I think you're right on the money. This might sound callous of me, but I see people saying things like "so Homestuck should just shut up and take it?", and like. No, obviously they don't need to let misinformation proliferate. But if their priority is to grow the fanbase, display how accepting they are and deescalate tension, some stuff is eventually going to have to become water under the bridge. Sometimes you should apologize even when you don't think you did anything wrong, and maybe even if you're right, because that's what someone trying to smooth things out might do. You can take the high road against people who shit on you without validating their behavior or making yourself look bad in the process.
This is, I think, capital-P Professionalism. I have also decided that I am very good at it and therefore they should be hiring me to handle all future interactions like this.
