X-Men is my favourite part of the superhero world. There's just something about 'em. Instead of a single team of special snowflakes, you've got an entire damn population of heroes, villains, villains who become heroes, glorious fuckups, side characters who get catapulted to stardom.... I've always loved the movies (even the ones that are Objectively Bad), but I got heavily into the comics when the Krakoan Age started, about 6 years ago. They'd spent the previous couple of decades grimly struggling along on the edge of extinction, so it was just so much fun to see all those resurrected characters hanging out on their mutant party island in between emergencies.
