sburb game mechanics are definitely something that could be related, but idk myself. narrative influence like that always seemed kind of outside the scope of just the rules applied to them, and its really only something i think wed see at the hands of an ultimate self. plus while there is always a lot of simplification of putting the setting within the game itself, its more accurate to say that sburb as a game only really serves as an entryway to a preexisting pocket of paradox space, and the existence of what we identify as game mechanics (health bars, level up systems, sylladexes, etc...) is already just a facet of characters existence and how they interact with things both in and out of session. skaia as a sort of entity i can definitely see being responsible for this destined stylistic nature of death, but thats also difficult to ascribe blame too as skaia isnt really an entity capable of acting in any way, similar to predestination or determinism
