Genuinely curious because this is the second time in as many days I've heard about apparent red herrings surrounding Gamzee and the hope aspect - did the hope aspect actually exist in the comic when Gamzee was introduced? Where would we have heard enough about "hope" to actually read his introduction and expect that to be his role?
