This is for the webmasters on the forums, as I'm sure there are plenty.
This project concept asks the question: What if the Homestuck characters had their own personal websites? This was inspired by pieces of promotional material from P3P depicting the characters' social media pages, and I thought it would be a fun piece of fan-worldbuilding for make into a project. I'm calling it the Scratchnet for now.
My questions to you are:
1) Would you be interested in contributing to such a project, and have the skillsets needed to participate or are willing to learn?
2) What would be the most comfortable way for everyone to go about this? Should it be done via a customizable social media site, like SpaceHey or StrawPage? Or would you prefer to code the pages, may you pardon the expression, from scratch, and have them all be combined under a special domain? I can handle all the costs, of course.
And 3) If you cannot participate or are hesitant, what would make this event more appealing to you as a spectator? I understand that unlike the name I have been bestowed, I am not omniscient, and that I have room for error. The will of the participants should be of the highest importance.
I am open to questions and critique! If enough people express interest, I will post a sign-up form in this thread.
If people want fully custom pages i recommend using neocities, it does require more knowledge of HTML and CSS but you basically have full freedom to make what you want! (As a free account you may hit certain limits tho, always check Neocities documentation)
I'm a person... Probably.
I would've hosted it on Nekoweb anyway, since it allows premium users to have multiple websites hosted on one account and I'm already subscribed for my own site.
People on Tumblr seem to be liking this, so here's the form link! Note I will need an external way to message you, so I hope the moderators are okay with that.
