It is upscaled pixel art i dont really have a clue why this is happening I set it to 900% and added a background so it was compressed less. It looked like this originally which is as you may be able to see not very good
But i look at the avatars of other users and none of them seem to have this issue. Its maybe likely something im doing wrong i guess?? Site compression just takes very very badly to pixel art???? No fucking clue
Its probably rude to run around like this in front of new readers so im hiding this thing at least. Scroll down to see it

Not entirely sure what you mean, sorry.
The image you posted looks pretty much the same level of compression, I'm assuming from whatever you used to upscale it?

@kechmeifyoucan (i know that mentioning people doesnt work but i do it for the love of the game okay)
Im saying that the avatars ive uploaded here seem unusually compressed.
I upscaled it natively in aseprite. Id get the original upscaled file if i didnt already save over it to make the version with the gradient background but it is not the upscaling software (the image has no compression issues in the original file.)

Web browsers automatically try to anti-alias images, pages have to on purpose tell it not to do that.
That could be why your image looks different on this site than it did while creating it.
Zampanio is a really fun game, you should play it :) :) :)
@jadedresearcher
Makes sense but also its odd that i havent really seen this issue with other users avatars? Even ones that i assumed would have similar problems such as homestuck panel avatars seem crisp on here. Maybe its a resolution thing? Leaning towards "site doesnt take well to pixel art"
