Who's your favorite human character?

rose because shes a silly gal like me.

i don't know if it's me but i have a soft spot for both of the beta girls. rose is intriguing and calculating but also has a soft side to her, although her trolling endeavours are what make her charming. as for jade, she's a badass basically. hell, if shotguns were easy to get where i'm located i'd try to shoot one just to feel like her. and she has her fun and whimsy scientific furry fantasies too, how is that not endearing? but that's just the surface. i love both of my autistic girls so much and i wish they interacted wayyy more in canon.

the beta guys just don't do it like them (they're cool tho)

jade and dave mostly. both are just really fun and cool

My favorite kids have to be john and roxy. John contrasts well against a lot of the other characters, and stands well on his own. I enjoy that he is not argumentative and is genuinely a good person :] I enjoy roxy because she is an awesome girl who loves the color pink, cats, and science which I enjoy myself.

I also enjoy dad and mom.

i cant really choose but if i absolutely had to i'd choose john because i kind of relate to him

If we're just doing the kids, my personal ranking:

1. Rose. Cute, charming, funny. her writing is kind of a drag at points but her high points make up for the low.

2. John. Especially when he's talking to Rose, but he's cool on his own too. Hard to pin down anything concrete about him I like, but his writing is fine and he has great moments.

3. Jade. Struggled with her or Dave here. I like them both a lot for different reasons but I think ultimately she wins out, if only because her being out of the spotlight for so much of act 6 meant she had less opportunity to wear on me like Dave did.

4. Dave. Still a great character despite how annoying he could be especially later on. Classic. Loses points for making up his backstory so people would feel bad for him.

5. Roxy. By far the best of the alpha kids, but still doesn't really compare to any of the betas. At least she didn't feel like an outright rehash of any other characters, and she has good shipping potential. Her dialogue can be annoying at points but overall she's fun and cute.

6. Jane. She is pretty boring and feels a little too much like previous characters for her to stand out, especially by the time she's introduced. She has some good moments though. I liked crockertier, I guess. Her design isn't so bad.

7. Jake. I feel bad trashing on him because i have some friends that love him and wish his character was given more room to grow. That definitely would have helped because the Jake we got was super lame, annoying to read both his dialogue and his actions, and felt like an unnecessary addition overall. A poor man's Tavros riding the coattail's of grandpa's badassery.

8. Dirk. Lame. Phony. Bad rehash of Dave's personality but less charming or funny and Vriska's role but less interesting. Stains Bro's otherwise impeccable image, a shame.

I love Jade! She's so fun to draw. And I love how weird she is; the oddball guardian, strange house, her prophetic visions... wonderful character. No comment on her HS:BC characterization because I'm not familiar with it. Anyway, she's fun, and her unique upbringing gives a lot of opportunity for interesting stories, comics, fanfic, etc.

I'm torn on Jane, personally! Some of my favorite fanfic authors have done well with her, and in-canon, she's... fine. Never personally latched onto her. I think I just don't like the thing she has with Jake. I like the romance aspects of Homestuck, but at a certain point, ugh! Too much.

It's a tie between Rose and June for me. 🤷‍♀️

Rose because I love failgirl nerds, she has charmed me beyond belief.

My favorite human tends to go in a cycle bc i just love all of them, especially the betas. Currently my favorite is John. Rose and Jake are close seconds.

My favorite is Roxy by a LONG shot. I love her so much!
