Trans hc names?

I think "Dick" works as a transmasc Jane name. It's funny & it's slang for detective. I also saw somebody on hstwt use "Frank" (as in, Frank Columbo) which is cute if a bit obscure

A transmasc Terezi name could be Balant or Szvari, both modified from other words for 'libra' (which is where Terezi's original name came from)

I'm not a fan of "Dove" Strider because like it's bird related but it's the wrong kind of bird lol. I think Dawn is a better name because it's time related. Like "Dave" always worried about running out of time and never being able to do things right from the start, and the "Dawn" is the beginning of the day where you have all of the time in the day to do whatever you need, so wouldn't it make sense for a Knight of Time to be named Dawn anyways?

I still haven't heard a Dave name that I'm fully satisfied with. BDTH's "Robin" comes the closest but doesn't feel quite right for reasons I can't articulate.

I'm trialing "Kaye" (4-character spelling variation of Cai, an Arthurian figure who does a fair bit of relevant shit and then fucks off out of the scope of the narrative) for her. Will report back when I determine if it feels right.

I like Liz (from the david elizabeth strider gag) for girldave. I love June as a name, but otherwise like breaking the four letter rule for trans names and i've always felt like liz is just a cool name

Eden might be the rerelease-new-reader headcanon name for GG, but the symbolism works out so well for June to have it as a name. Trades name recognition for the whole Biblical deal about apples and spiritual innocence.

On the topic of the rerelease-new-reader stuff, they actually proposed Joan as a trans name for John, since they actually came to the whole Trans John thing conclusion on their own. It's... kind of impressive watching these guys admittedly they catch onto ALOT of things

Joan would be funny because a former mutual of mine on tumblr was both a June + Jade kin, and their name was Joan as a mixture between these two names (iirc)!

Anyway, although I love love love Lara, I also really like Jean (or Jeanette, breaking the four character rule) for her.

jett harley - okay this name i actually stole for myself. LOL!!! but the explanation is both jade and jett are minerals! + jett is just jet with one more t and yknow jade loves doing some robotics :]!!
