This is the thread to discuss Kankriope, the Toxic Moirallegiance ship between Kankri and Calliope.
The essence of this ship is simple yet beautifully toxic:
Calliope is naive and always willing to listen
Kankri is filled with hate narratives and always willing to speak
Calliope would feel pity for Kankri and approach him, and become close friends as they both care for "social justice and the well-being of their friends". However, Kankri would be filling Calliope with his ideals - those of his classism, his misogeny, etc.
Think about it.
Whenever anyone tries to get Kankri to shup up, Calliope would urge the others to "please be patient with him u.u". And whenever Calliope would try to be themself or hang out with their friends, Kankri would tell them of how bad and awful everyone is and further close them from interacting with everyone else. Kankri would ruin Calliope. And Calliope would further enable Kankri's toxic tendencies. They are a perfect toxic ship - they have zero chemistry, they do not lift eachother up, but they would hang out together, and they would drag eachother down, and it would be a terrifying fireworks display of human toxicity and how conservatives can destroy and corrupt kind souls with their narratives.
Callie would do something, Kankri would tell them that they were being problematic, and Callie would reply,
"oh! i did not knew! i am sorry. i am still new to the hUman cUstoms U.U"
And they would truck along, bit by bit, slowly slowly corrupting Callie more and more.
This is where things get even spicier.
There are two understandings of what "Moirallegiance" means.
One, the Best Friends / QPR angle, of two best buds in an even relationship.
The second, is that in a Moirallegiance there is a person that is the Pacifier and another that is Pacified - think of how Karkat calms down Gamzee, or how Nepeta calms down Equius.
I think Kankriope is a Pacifier/Pacified type of moirallegiance, but they would set it up where Kankri is the pacifier. Think about it - Kankri is always telling Callipe they are being "problematic" and "doing bad things" to control their behavior. Kankri would label himself as a "pacifier" and "helper", and label Calliope as "his problematic partner who he is trying to help". They would do this. This is something they would do.
The spiciest take of the night however, is that I think Kankri would detransition Callie and turn her into a tradwife.
Think about it. Kankri spends all his time on Openbound defending male high bloods like Cronus while demonizing lowbloods like Mituna or woman like Latula. He only exclusively attacks people with less privilege. He is, at his core, a conservative - a conservative that employs progressive speech as a cudgel to attack others.
What I'm saying is that Kankri would absolutely tell Callie that they are being problematic for using they/them and doing cultural appropriation of asian third genders and tell them to knock it off. He would pull a BS justification, tell it to Callie, and they in their naivete would tell him "oh! i didnt knew that, thank yoU for telling me U.U" and go back to she/her.
Kankri would do this.
Callie would believe him.
This would happen.
If they ever met, this could very very well have happened.
