Does anyone still roleplay?.... And how can i get in on that... do people just roleplay on discord? Are there still websites? I haven't roleplayed since i was like 14 but i think about it almost everyday tbh, i vaguely miss the pesterchum blogspot... the good ol days (well, vaguely good lol)

you wouldn’t believe how much there is out there for you. but its hard to find things outside of friendgroups. we were considering adding a rp board here but the main hesitation with that is… well we’d have to moderate it

The blogspot i used to be on definitely didn't have moderation, and that was so desperately needed looking back on it.
The only people I *did* roleplay with have crashed into the sun as they weren't very nice people, so i've been on the scrounge to relive my days as it was genuinely so much fun.
Maybe there could be a kind of advertisement board or something for people that *do* want to roleplay to find and befriend each other and like, say what their level of roleplaying and comfort is? There might be problems with that too though ig..

not homestuck but i've found a lot of luck in wcarpg, which is a warrior cats roleplay forum with fantasy aspects :) rp spaces definitely still exist, it just takes a while to come across the right ones esp depending on what exactly youre looking for!
i do think a rp forum would be good, most rp spaces have chilled out a lot and i havent seen a lot of weirdos in roleplay spaces for a while in my experience. this site's community in general seems to OVERALL have its shit together from what ive seen

Yeah ig you're right, people aren't as weird anymore. Theres always gonna be weirdos, but i feel like as the internet has matured, more people are vaguely normal. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out.
I know i'm personally on a search for OC or homestuck roleplay, though if i did roleplay homestuck characters, it would be sooooo OOC.. its been so long since i've read the source, all HS characters are mostly headcanons in my brain

my friend group actually just started our first rp in a few years last month, its been pretty great. our session is full but id be down to get talking to other rpers in the year of our lord at least for future reference

I mostly just roleplay on Discord with old buddies or through servers I've found on Disboard (though I wouldn't really recommend it... for Reasons HAHA I just lucked out and found and awesome group).
Regarding a RP board on here, I think rather than having forum-based roleplays if moderation is an issue, maybe just have it be a Disboard style "Add me on Discord/Twitter/Whatever and we RP there" type of thing.

i did forum RP for years, it's my favorite way to write fiction TBH. i've done some GMing for some very large campaigns where sometimes there would be over 100 characters in a single thread. and as it turns out i'm working (VERY slowly) on a homestuck-based RP campaign i would like to share with folks here somehow eventually! i've been developing plans for it since 2021, lmao. i keep facing obstacle after obstacle but i am deathly determined to get it off the ground.
so i hope you all come join me on that blessed day when i can actually get this dang game started!! i would love to RP with all of you. (TvT)

Try using the fanmade Pesterchum client.
Most of the people on their are there to roleplay, and are often in-character the moment your start talking with them.
It's also really good for fleshing out an oc on the spot.
