This is Certainly going to be a long journey.

You take in the sights. its a small town, very dusty, tens of people, small buildings. just how you like it. you stretch your legs a small bit by walking to a house, this house seems to be the Macfarlane household, as Bonnie is resting on some of the front railing. Her house has a white fence around it with a door of medium height blocking most small creatures from entering the property. you open the gate, Bonnie notices you entering, and smiles.

Bonnie: Can you please shut that door before any critters get on the property.

You close the door quickly.

John: So you wanted me to do ranch work? well, I'm available, and I'm ready to help you, Ma'am.

Bonnie: Well, nice of you to join me Mr Marston. Well, we need to get some work done, follow me, I have your horse near this saloon, I can show you around after we get the horses and then we can get started.

John: Well that sounds nice.

You and Bonnie walk to a saloon not even a minute from where Bonnie's house is. you both get onto your horse, and grab its reins.

Bonnie: Follow me, and don't get shot.

you chuckle a little. because you sure hope you wont. you start riding your horses through the town. Bonnie saying each location as you and her ride along this small town.

Bonnie: So, Mr Marston, tell me a bit about yourself. what did you use to do?

John: I used to... ride in a gang. they were called the van der linde gang. and we went robbing from store to store to store. then, we messed up with this place called blackwater. things just kinda went downhill from there. fights, shootouts, I had trouble with an old member a few years ago. I shot him dead.

Bonnie: Oh my. that's quite a tale you have yourself. I remember hearing about blackwater when I rode there a week after. quite a massacre it seemed to be.

John: Yea, it was. Uh, anyways, what was it you wanted to do, ranching wise?

Bonnie: Oh yes!, I need you to help with horses. then come back tonight for some more help.

John: Why tonight, may I ask?

Bonnie: We have a rodent issue, and its been pretty hard on my own. I can only manage to kill 2 of those rodents, if you help me, you will be one step closer to paying off that debt, and I'd be free of these rodents eating my crops.

John: Alright, So what time?

Bonnie: Around 7:30 at the earliest. it may take a moment to find the rodents though.

John: Well that's fine by me.

you both turn your horses and go to the horse stables. you tend to the horses needs for the next few hours. it quickly becomes dark.

you head to Bonnie's, and knock on the door. it takes her a minute to arrive. once she opens the door, Bonnie gives John a double barreled shotgun.

Bonnie: Take this, and come around the back with me. move slowly, we don't want to scare them off.

you both walk slowly to the back, you both see 5 gophers, they seem to be messing with the carrots. you aim your shotgun. in the moment, everything feels slowed, you put your eyes onto one gopher, then another. you fire the gun, both are dead. the gophers start running off as you reload. Bonnie manages to get one, and misses the next shot. you reload, and fire on the gophers again, hitting both with one shell.

Bonnie: Nice firing Marston, you gottem.

John: You weren't too bad either.

you hear an alarm made of chicken screams in the distance.

Bonnie: Oh God the chickens!

you both get on your horses and ride to the chicken coup not far from the stables. 2 coyotes managed to get into the coup, and were killing the chickens. you shoot one of the coyotes, killing them. the other manages to escape. Bonnie gets off her horse and checks the coup.

Bonnie: a few of the chickens are dead, I wished we could've gotten here faster.

John: It ain't your fault Bonnie.

Bonnie just sighs. You both walk to her house. you stop on the front steps as she opens the door. she holds it open for a moment, just to speak with you.

Bonnie: John, I cannot thank you enough for the help today. You can keep the shotgun In case there's more rodents. Goodnight John.

Bonnie closes her door, ending your night together. you yawn loudly, you didn't mean to, but it happened. Its obvious you are tired. You hitch your horse and walk to the small little shack you woke up in.

you lay on the bed, kick off your shoes, and doze off. Suddenly, you are riding your horse with a gang. you can't remember their names or their faces, but you should, right? that's a question your dream self doesn't answer. You see a train and jump off your horse to get on it, the unknown figures follow suit. one of the unknown figures is shooting at something, but you aren't sure what.

BLAM

You were shot in the shoulder. you fell off of the train, and landed in some bushes. One of the figures watches you, as you plead to let you on his horse. no response, the horse runs off and so does the figure.

You wake up in a cold sweat, light beaming on your face. you guess it's time to do some more work. You get a fresh pair of clothes on, get your boots on, grab your hat, and go outside to help Bonnie with whatever problems she may have.

Its time to ranch. You feed the horses, pick up after them, give them milk, Milk them?, Help th- no. you do only the first two things. Bonnie approaches you as you are feeding one of the many horses.

Bonnie: Wanna ride with me?

John: Sorry, i'm a married man.

Bonnie: Not like that, i mean, take a ride on some of the horses

John: Shouldn't i be taking care of them right now?

Bonnie: This is taking care of them, they get to stretch their legs, so, do you want to ride?

Bonnie: Alright, lets get two of the horses and start riding

you take two of the horses. one thoroughbred and a mustang. You take the Mustang, he seems to be pretty excited, as far as you can tell. Bonnie's horse however, is not, she seems disinterested in bonnie, not letting her on. after 30 minutes of trying, she finally gets on it.

Bonnie: Are you ready? Just follow me.

You both start riding the horses, not just through town, but near some forest space as well.
