I DONT KNOW IF ITS NECESSARILY GOOD PER SAY, BuT I GET LIKE THAT TOO. I GOT INTO A MASSIVE SPAT YESTERDAY DuRING LuNCH WITH A FRIEND WHO WAS MISINTERPRETING HOMESTuCK AND ITS CHARACTERS. ITS EASY TO GET uPSET/PASSIONATE ABOuT HOMESTuCK, EVEN MORE IF ITS YOuR SPECIAL INTEREST AND ITS ABOuT YOuR FAVORITE CHARACTER. I DO NOT THINK IT IS uNREASONABLE TO GET uPSET OVER IT BuT PERHAPS TRY TO REMEMBER THAT AT THE END OF THEIR DAY, THEIR OPINION DOES NOT MATTER. ITS BEST TO TAKE A STEP BACK AND TELL THEM TO DROP IT BEFORE YOu GET uPSET.

I know its hard cuz lets be honest,homestuck is awesome sauce but at the same time it might not rock with other people nor can they take seriously on what you're trying to explain (like lore or other things lol) so maybe try finding other people that are interested in Homestuck or at least willing to try to understand it

most of my friends don't have that big of an issue with me talking about it. they just tease me about how much I'm obsessed with in and I know they aren't trying to be mean necessarily but I just get stupidly upset when I think they're being too harsh, I am hashtag NEVER STOPING!!!
