AA: Can thou feel that sensation churning within thee?
AA: The power of thy necrotic liquid nubian destiny pulsing its way from thine inkstone, slowly redefining thy very being.
AA: Thy Grand Metamorphosis has begun, and with it comes newfound power.
AA: How glorious!

With the preponderance of Egyptian motifs surrounding Ly'lac, it was a surprise to see a reference to "nubian destiny" - no doubt a deliberate inclusion! It's such an obvious mystery that I thought I'd try and bring it up.
I believe it was Malo who linked the phrase to Liquid Negrocity, one of the themes of the Midnight Crew. Later reprised as Black, such a play on words placed next to an African nation brings up some fascinating questions regarding grimdarkness and Blackness. That's a massive thesis that goes far beyond Homestuck itself, and I'd prefer to pass the mic to someone more qualified to handle that.
An aspect of the wordplay I noticed was that "nubian" might not just mean Nubia, but rather the Latin root nubes. The clouds, of course, are most prominently known the PUFFY ORACLES of Skaia. Inkstone evokes the quest bed, and the necrotic liquid may well be the blood of its sacrifice. It doesn't tell us much we don't already know but gives us a more game-focused lens.
The second game-based wordplay approach I'd like to mention is "nubile", a word cognate in meaning (if not in root) to "nymph". The ends of the game are reproductive, and Rose has some particular hangups over motherhood that we can only speculate as to how they've been passed down.
