ive seen criticisms of the pilot all over, like it doesnt make sense, the characters act wrong, its too fast, etc., but my main complaint is the artstyle. its not bad, it just doesnt feel homestuckesque if you get what im saying, like when i first watched it i just finished act 1 so i didnt see a problem, but after watching game over, the art just fit homestuck better. instead of these smooth vectors with clean rigs, game over uses a thick outlines, rough edges, and handrawn poses, and i dont even care it has lower framerates with looped animation, because it just fits homestuck so much better. Its also so expressive, like i cannot see gamzee making that face with the pilots current artstyle, but it looks great with the homestuck art. i would really prefer to have a show with this art style at 12 fps than what it has right now at 24.
