my kris deltarune thread

i feel like a lot of people overlook the best parts of kris because of years of getting caught in the weeds overthinking metanarrative concepts. which is a shame because you look at them and they're unbelievably characterful if you take everything they can do as something they would do and not, like. originating from some metanarrative ether. they're a chuunibyou teenager with a crisis of identity and a complex sense of morality stuck with one foot out the chrysalis into becoming something new. and no one talks about them like this

Huh kris really is deltarune's vriska lol or maybe it's the soul we do some pretty messed up stuff but everyone insists it's justified lol

I love Kris a lot they're a very fun character. They're just such a dick and I love that for them. Unfortunate that I have to make them torture Noelle (I need to get my $20 worth of game).

hate that i highly dislike and yet have to begrudgingly agree with the idea that Kris is probably Deltarune's vriska... It just makes sense

RE: pedanticbiomasochist like that's the thing right, i think they do have a lot motive to ""torture"" noelle in the ways they do, because in their eyes it's like. they're trying to help her become stronger so she can protect herself in the same ways they've had to learn how to do. it's a lot of what makes kris so similar to chara, and it's also, like. if it weren't something they were thinking about, why would any of the choices that lead to weird route be available at all
