I think we need to somehow move away from the fandom. It's painfully obvious why … It should be an easy thing to do, I already archived and uploaded the wiki to archive.org (https://archive.org/details/wiki-mspaintadventures.fandom.com-20250413). It has all credits to anyone who ever contributed to it, so I'm not violating the license.
gosh just recently i was wondering when or how it would be done! i think the wiki moving is certainly long overdue, i rather hope it happens
fandom is a truly horrendous site. i have a lot of love and nostalgia for the mspa wiki but it's about time.
In the meantime I highly recommend everyone check out BreezeWiki to make fandom more palatable.

afaik theres some sketchy shit that can happen if youre super open about moving the wiki while the process is ongoing. dont trust me though as im just remembering this off the top of my head from a tumblr post. i can just hope they're planning it from behind the scenes quietly.
Sent an email to https://weirdgloop.org/. In the homestuck discord thread, somebody else already tried contacting them at discord, but they never posted an update, so IDK how well that went. Funny enough, there are two domains, 1 registered in 2020 and another in 2023 (mspa.wiki and homestuck.wiki) but they're both just redirects. Evil.
god, i hope they move that shit. maybe i'll actually consider contributing. :B

The thing is, they could move away whenever the hell they wanted. The wiki owners have their own domain registered already (homestuck.wiki); It's actually insane how no one has considered moving it away from Fandom.
I, for one, would love to help manage the move if it happens. I already love collecting Homestuck information. Just give me a shout.

Does it really belong to them? mspa.wiki is registered by a completely different person, Makin said it's registered by phantos. Don't know anything about homestuck.wiki! They also said they tried contacting one of the mspawiki's admins, but the response is very grim.

I agree though - fandom is awful and if someone has a low effort way to migrate it - including all the bells and whistles - I am absolutely willing to put in the elbow grease to help out.

i think my biggest problem with fandom wikia is the lack of room to do anything with it beyond what it wants a wiki to be like. i also just have to mention how incoherent it is to navigate sometimes.
