Moirallegiance, platonic or romantic

Hi!!! I haven't written any topics in a while but I felt like this is something I wanted to ask the community about

I'm unsure if it's ever explicitly says, but is Moirallegiance strictly romantic or platonic? or could it be interchangeable? I've seen a lot of interpretations of it, even being used IRL, so I wanted to see what others think.

I know in canon I've seen some more romantic implications like with Xefros and Dammek, but I can't think of anything else off the top of my head :p
