Does anybody here have some input on how they think that whole interaction will go down?
Homestuck has had it's fair share of "character meets alternate version of abuser, who is better" and done it with tact before, but I really worry about how the story will confront Jane's character.
The Epilogues were not exactly kind to her, in the slightest and Tavvy winds up being a product of her assaulting Jake. I worry about how that discussion will play out, both in narration AND interpersonal interaction.
Then you layer how Calliope is authoring Candy on top and it becomes a whole mess.
I would like some words of comfort, if anybody has some positive insight.

I do hope that they get the chance to talk because it would be a great way for Tavvy to regain some of the confidence he lacks and progress his character forward. I think meeting an alternate version of his parents that lived a more domestic and reasonable life then the parents he knew would help him to recognize that he doesn't have to become the person that his parents want him to become, what Vrissy and Vriska want him to become. Seeing that even his dysfunctional and abusive family can have a better future even if it's in an alt universe would provide him the closure to a part of himself that is holding him back. Most of all, I hope if they do meet, he will finally get the chance to feel a little of the parental love and approval that he always searched for but never received.
