I really like Yume Nikki! it was one of the first rpgmaker games I ever played. I'm particularly a fan of other games though like OFF

Yume Nikki is one of my favourite games ever! I love it so much! I remember playing it on raining afternoons after school, such good memories. The feeling of finding a new secret or an effect you didn't know about (considering I had a large amount of the game spoiled to me beforehand) is trully an amazing experience.

I never played LSD Dream Emulator, though. It seems quite a trippy game! I should probably add it to my list.

Recently I saw this game... don't remember the name, though. It was this really weird, I guess religious themed 1st person walkaround. It was heavily stylized, and you could see the hand of the main character while doing stuff. The trailer ends with a city burning in flames, and some weird as fuck screamish sounds. Thought it was really cool!

I think Yume Nikki might be the best one for me, though because, while sure there are a lot of spooky stuff, it isn't necessarily a "horror game" per se; there are a lot of really nice, peaceful moments, just like there are dreams but also nightmares. It gives the game this sort of melancholic feel to it, it's just really unique! Also props to Kikiyama to make a 5 seconds long soundtrack to be such a BANGER.
