So Homestuck has unintentionally become the nexus point of reading hobby for me (who knew?) and I have read my first handful of real Actual novels of my own choice in my adult life recently.
Ive been specifically enjoyed Post-modern, meta narrative works like House of leaves and Pale fire.
but in my hyperfixated frantic googling I’ve seen ”Infinite Jest“ by David Foster Wallace Talked about with great pedigree.
Now given how daunting the book is itself (and that I’m still in the middle of two other books currently) I have not delved into the story itself yet, but I have found myself transfixed by the speechs/interviews/essays of the Author David Foster Wallace, and am pretty certain I’ll enjoy Infinite Jest whenever I do get a chance to read it.
All that said, I figured Id open the conversation to what Other Homestucks think of the work and of Wallace himself.
What did you think of / get out of infinite jest?
What overlap with homestuck can be found? etc. etc.
I’d be fascinated to read any and all viewpoints and opinions as homestuck fans who are familiar with the daunting task of taking on a behemoth of narrative.
