I think John Ruins a Wedding might be my favorite MSPFA comics

-The core idea is really good and completely relevant to John's character and to the webcomics main themes : its both funny and sad (comic and tragic)

-The writing is really good : the characters are in-character ; the interactions and dialogues are on point ; the chemistry between the characters, how unexpected as it can be, works surprisingly really well (the John/Caliborn duo is the highlight of the comics - obviously -, but the Terezi/Jade interactions were also pretty good, as well as other minor interactions : Jade/Nanna, Davesprite/Jade, Rose/Caliborn ; and, and course, it's fun to read !

-The pace is really good too ! Personally, I never got bored even for a moment :D Although, I didn't expect some scenes to be cut so quickly (Dirk/Gamzee) but it's fine because the story is still ongoing

-The art style is awesome ! The artist tried to replicate the webcomics' early art style and the result is truly delightful, really ! The sprite work is also really good

-IT'S FUNNY !!! I think it's important to mention it, but one of my main complaints with many fan adventures that try to "remake" Homestuck or to continue in the spirit of the webcomics (like Vast Error) is that they are way too serious ! Here, the characters are allowed to be silly and stupid ! (well, with Caliborn as a main character, that's inevitable lol)

-I love the way John and Caliborn are written. This comics managed to make him look like Caliborn ! What the hell. And of course, the John/Caliborn dynamic was like a revelation. I've gotta confess, this fan-comics made me a John and Caliborn shipper lol (not my OTP though, but they have a surprisingly fun and original dynamic !)

Anyway, John Ruins a Wedding is definitely one of my favorite MSPFA alongside Karkat Goes to a Convention, Burning Down the House, The Crow Strider AU and Sburb Done Quick !
