It seems that adult nymphs' squid heads take over their faces, and they grow longer.
Or at least their ancestors used to look like that, or maybe they look like that only in the prophecies.
Also: Did Ly'lac blow up the left half on purpose? Did she not like something?

i'd assume she was destroying some depiction of the satyrs being attacked by the nymphs. ly'lac seems to be cool with the satyrs (enough to be interested in their weapons culture) so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say she isn't keen on the nymphs attacking a species she likes.
i dont think theres really any distinction drawn between the "squid" and "not squid" parts of their heads in the glyph, if i had to guess the tentacles just get longer probably
anyway what are they, some kinda, squid kids?
